Jul. 27th, 2006 06:19 pmChris races up the stairs, two at a time, holding her suitcase in one hand and a pile of mail in the other. How she doesn't trip, one can only wonder.
Once she reaches her apartment, she doesn't stop inside. She simply throws her suitcase in, drops the mail unceremoniously on the floor and shuts the door. She has to pick Coco up from the kennel before it closes but that's not what has her so distracted.
On the way down the stairs, she reads Jack's letter, almost tearing the letter and she opens the envelope. Somehow, during all this, she doesn't fall down the stairs.

Later, she buys a birthday card with two little cartoon aliens on the front and some greeting card-funny reference to alien abduction inside. She writes quickly, wanting to mail the card today before the post office closed.

Dear Dribbles,
Sorry, I didn't answer sooner. I've been out of town. I hope this card reaches you by your birthday.
I also hope that by the time this reaches you, Angela has returned back to the bar. I can't believe she went off like that! What was she thinking? Maybe the Bauer habit for getting into trouble rubbed off on her. :)
Speaking of which - KING KONG? That might be one of the weirdest things I've ever heard of happening outside of Milliways Bar. And monsters? I didn't see the movie but wasn't there a T-Rex in it too? No one was seriously hurt in all this, I'm assuming.
We should talk more about everything that happened, I'm not sure when I'll get back to the bar. It could be months.
Listen, if I don't write back soon it's because I'm in New York visiting my family. I'm leaving the 22nd. If I get something from you before then, I'll respond ASAP but if not, I hope you have a Merry Christmas.
