Chris heads up the stairs after her talk with Kim. She walks into her room and doesn't pay much attention to whether the door closes all the way. She can shut it in a minute.

She sits down in a chair by the window and tries to calm down.

It was nothing. It didn't mean anything. It was just one kiss.

She can see the lake from here. She almost wishes she couldn't but she can still feel his kiss.

What have I done?

It would be very easy right now to just fall asleep in Jack's arms. Very tempting too. But as the sweat on her body cools she realizes she'll need more than his arms to keep her warm.

She sits up and tugs at the covers folded at the foot of the bed. Unfolding the light blanket, she pulls it over them. Chris lies down again, facing Jack and curling up closer to him.

He curls up next to her, wrapping one arm around her waist. He can feel her warm body close to his, hear her breathing change as she starts to slip into sleep. It's a cozy, comfortable feeling, and so he smiles as he drifts off to sleep.
