[OOC: Continued from here.]

Later, she wouldn't remember what they talked about. There wasn't much to remember, they both steered away from heavier topics, preferring to flirt and banter.
She wouldn't remember the car that cut her off as they neared the train station. She certainly wouldn't remember the rest of the drive. She wouldn't remember checking in at the bed and breakfast.
What Chris would remember was Jack's hand on her arm as she watched the car pass. She'd remember how often she seemed to laugh and smile, maybe she would have felt ridiculous for it but she was too happy to care. She'd remember the way she felt when they were finally in the room alone. The nervous excitement and this feeling of "finally".
That's what she'd remember.

Her hips move with every thrust as she looks for a rhythym, some relief. She touches his cheek, feeling it move with every lick and that sends a spark through her.

"Come on, sweetheart," he says, softly.

"Jack. Jack, oh God." She grips the bedsheet, feeling her climax wash over her and her body tremble.

"That was worth the long plane ride," she says, wrapping her arms around him and barely able to hide the laughter in her voice.

He turns his head slightly, to look at her. "There were a lot of times I wished I could just see you for a few minutes, or that there was something I would have loved you to see."

The words come quickly and stop abruptly. Pausing to take a shaky breath, Chris tries again. "I'm sorry I pushed you away. I never stopped loving you but so much was happening and I didn't know how to deal with it..."

"I know ... things haven't changed but in a way they have. I was so upset and frustrated and I handled things badly but I think the time apart gave me some perspective. If we can only really be together in Milliways then that's enough."
And it was, even though she wanted more and she felt almost greedy for it. She wanted to be able to talk about him to her friends, to tell people she was involved, to have him meet her family.
Though that had its own problems.

"Are you sure? You'll have to lie to your family, your friends... Are you sure you can do that?" he asks, softly.

About the bar, about her father, about herself. She had a whole other life that they'd never know about.
"I know it'll be tough, but it's already is whether I'm with you or not."
no subject
"Yeah, but just because you're already lying to them about other things doesn't mean it'll make this one easier. Sweetheart, I want you back more than anything, I just don't want you to regret it later. You're the only person who can decide that, though."
no subject
"I won't. I regretted the break-up and all the time we spent apart but I never regretted being with you."

He pulls her closer, wanting to feel as much of her skin against his as he can, then leans in for a quick kiss. "Yeah," he says, softly, "it was the same for me."

She rests her head on his shoulder, deciding it can wait a little longer. "I really wanted to spend Christmas with you."
