Date Night

Chris can't keep from smiling as she gets ready for the evening.

After her talk with Michelle last night, she had a few ideas. She wrote down a short list to the bar amd in return recieved and envelope and what looked like a clothing box.

Inside the envelope was a note about dinner reservations at the Aureole restaraunt in Manhattan, two tickets to see the New York Philharmonic perform afterwards and a note about overnight reservations at the The Barclay near Rockerfeller Center.

In the box, was something she had seen in a catalog and thought that Jack might like.

Not that he'd be wearing it, of course.

Chris smoothed her dress over her hips and looked in the mirror one more time, before grabbing her bag and walking out the door.

OOM: Date Night

Chris and Jack step out of the bar, into a cold New York City night.

The first big difference from Milliways? All the noise. The sound of horns from the cars on the street, cops blowing their whistles as they direct traffic and someone down the street playing a violin come together to create their own symphony.

She pulls her wrap a little tighter around her shoulders and looks over at Jack with a smile. "Surprise."
