Transformation
Jul. 15th, 2005 06:15 pmShe had expected Elaine to be more disgusted. It's not everyday someone grows extra fingers and toes.
Or that those fall off and need to be disposed of somehow.
But she seemed to take in stride. She was concerned but she never seemed frightened. Chris wonders if she could be as graceful with something as odd.
She rolled onto her stomach. Sleeping on her back was impossible now. Aside from the two growths out from her sides there's another growth pushing throw her skin. Right on her spine. It hurts, like the dull ache of tense muscles.
Growing pains.
But she wasn't getting taller. She was just growing more twisted and deformed.
She had asked for a notebook and a pen to chronicle the symptoms when she was awake and lucid enough to do so. Chris found it easier to approach this as a scientist, it was comforting. It allowed her distance. After all, what would Scully do in a similar situation?
Loss of extra digits. New, unexplained growth on both sides of abdomen, underneath arms. Appear to be muscle tissue. Grayish-blue in color. New growth appearing along spine, feels like cartilage. Skin color still bluish, more extreme on legs. Skin texture on legs is different. Hard to describe - smoother? Complete loss of hair on legs and arms. May also be losing hair on head.
She closed the notebook and pushed it away, before resting her head on a pillow.
