[OOC: After this conversation with Michelle and Tony.]

Chris walked outside, not even noticing where she was till she was at the lake's edge. She sighed, picked up a few stones and began tossing them.

She wondered how it would happen. Maybe she should have stayed and asked Michelle. Somehow though, she doubted that Michelle wanted to tell her.

Chris threw the stone and it skipped once before sinking.

She was angry. She was angry and she didn't know why. No. Wait. She did know why. She was angry that she cared. Angry that she couldn't muster up much satisfaction over the fate that awaited Jack. Angry that she cared at all.

The stone hit the water's surface with a plunk and sank.

And what about Kim? God, did she know? That thought worried her and Chris almost had half a mind to look for her. It was late though and there was a good chance Kim was asleep.

Chris had given up on skipping stones and was now throwing them into the lake.

Once she was out of stones she sat down on the grass.

Maybe he deserves it. Maybe. It was hard to say what someone deserved. Chris still thought he should be punished. She had never bought Jack's excuses because they were just that.

But this, what did this do? It didn't change anything. Her dad would still be dead. It didn't make anything right, it gave her no comfort.

Chris pulled her knees up to her chest and hugged them to her.

There's no point in thinking about this. It was a part of a future that hadn't been written yet.
