Chris leans her head against Jack's shoulder as he carries her into his room. She has managed to stop giggling.

Somewhat.

He snorts, softly. "Well I'm not sure you could call me that, but I know what you're saying. And thank you," he says, kissing her forehead.

She smiles at this and is quiet for a few moments.

"I wish this place had room service." She's hungry but she doesn't want to move.

"Mmmm, me too," he says, cuddling a little closer. God, he missed this when she was gone. "I guess you must not have much of a hangover then, huh?"

"I've never had a hangover. Not a really bad one, anyway."

"Rub it in why don't you? And how the hell did you ever miss getting completely tanked when you were in the Army?"

"Some people just know how to handle their liquor," she says, sticking her tongue out at him. "But I'm not much of a drinker, which helps."

"Well, if anything, that should make it easier for you to get drunk. Not that I'm encouraging you or anything."

"I mean in the getting drunk sense."

"Mmm, true. Though I have to be thankful that you occasionally do," he says. She'd been pretty tipsy the first time they'd kissed, afterall.

Chris laughs lightly at this and leans in to kiss Jack on the lips.

He holds the kiss, savoring it. It's the first time he's really felt anything when they kissed since the battle with the Other, and he realizes how much he missed it.

Chris deepens the kiss, realizing it's been a while since she's gotten this much of a response from him.

She missed this.
