Chris walks down the hall towards Jack's room.

She's wearing a beaded green dress, she's not sure why the bar gave her this to wear but it's pretty if far more dressy than her everyday attire.

The bar gave her heels and earrings to go with, completing the outfit.

She reaches his door and knocks, a small smile on her face. Maybe Jack would be in a suit and this was the bar's way of getting them on a date.

'Do I look like I'm kidding?' He stands as well, close enough to invade her space in not a nice way. 'I've had enough Chris! So he's dead. Haven't we all got enough other shit to deal with? It's not like you can't see him any more, you can talk to him every day if you want to. But oh no, people have to hold it against me every chance they get.'

He stares into her face with a look of contempt. 'It's not worth it. Get over it or get out of my life.'

Without even thinking, Chris slaps him. Twice, in quick succession.

"Fuck you, Jack! How's that for your answer!"

Chris pushes past him, heading towards the door.

"I can't even believe this," she mutters. Her nerves still raw, she's now trembling with anger.

She has half a mind to hit him again.

Ramon doesn't stop to think about what Jack would do or how best to deal with it. With a snarl of anger he's after her, hand raised to strike and fury flashing in his eyes.

'You fucking bitch!'

Her mind is still reeling from shock. She could barely process Jack saying these things, acting this way, raising his hand to hit her.

But her body is moving on instinct.

Her hand balls into a fist and she lands a quick right cross to his throat. This is followed up with a knee to the groin.

He's close when she hits him in the throat and the punch is hard enough to make him lose his breath instantly. It takes him by surprise, so his concentration is gone in the split second it takes her knee to land in his groin. It's reflex to double over, and he does so with a quiet grunt of pain, trying to get his breath back as he does so.

It's enough to knock the wind out of his sails and he crouches to the floor, hand tensing into a fist and then releasing, in a quiet internal struggle to manage the pain. And when he's got it under control, he looks up at her with stormy blue eyes and an expression that could kill...but he doesn't shout, instead his voice is quiet and laden with menace.

'Get out. And never come near me again, you understand?'

She's already backing away.

"I won't."

Chris half-runs out of the room and down the hall towards her own room. When she gets inside she locks the door and crumples into the nearest chair, her heart pounding and her whole body shaking.

Ramon stays crouching for a long moment, and winces slightly when he finally stands. But that doesn't mean that he doesn't have a huge grin on his face and if the door wasn't still open he'd be laughing up a storm right now.

Can't fix it if she doesn't come near you Jack! Such a shame...
