Chris walks down the hall towards Jack's room.

She's wearing a beaded green dress, she's not sure why the bar gave her this to wear but it's pretty if far more dressy than her everyday attire.
The bar gave her heels and earrings to go with, completing the outfit.
She reaches his door and knocks, a small smile on her face. Maybe Jack would be in a suit and this was the bar's way of getting them on a date.

They order their dinner from the waitrat and, due to it being a slow night, they get their food quickly. Dinner conversation is mostly small talk, Jack's answers are mostly of the vague and innocuous variety.
After their meal is over, Chris sips her wine - her second glass and looks at Jack over the table. "Jack ... is everything all right?"
She feels silly for asking, he hasn't said anything but she just feels like something is off.

'I'm having dinner with you Chris, what could possibly be wrong?' The smile edges towards being a smirk. 'So yes, everything's fine. Why?'

"I don't know, it's nothing," she says with a slight wave of her hand. "I was just wondering. There's always seems to be something happening or going wrong around us."

Maybe she should have more wine with dinner.
"All right," she says softly, despite the inexplicable urge to say no. She slides out of her seat and stands, waiting for him to join her.
Maybe she was the one who was off today.

"Yeah, you're probably right." Chris agrees, trying to convince herself.
She touches the label of his jacket. "I wonder what's up with the bar and the clothing she's been choosing for you lately." Chris grins a little. "You might wake up to that toga, yet."

Chris leans in and kisses his cheek. "The suit is very nice."

He almost scares himself when they get upstairs, automatically turning slightly towards room nineteen, then catching himself at the last minute and moving on to twenty four. Idiot...

"Did you ever talk to Bernard about having your room expanded?"

He closes the door behind them, catches her wrist and turns her towards him so he can kiss her, properly this time, leaving no doubt as to what his intentions are.
'Don't really care about that book right now do you?'
no subject
She laughs at his question. "Well, I'm still going to need something to occupy myself with when we're not together."

She wraps her arms around him and kisses Jack, trying to ignore the strange feeling of anxiety she's had all evening.

Of course, the aftermath he's got planned would almost be better than sex.
he breaks the kiss and pulls her into a close embrace, resting his head lightly on her shoulder for a moment. 'I miss you when we're not together.'
no subject
"I miss you too," she whispers.

He takes advantage of the position of his head and starts ghosting kisses down her neck, tasting her gently, ears open to catch her responses to make sure he's not doing anything that might ruin this.
It's not a hard job. There are worse ways to ruin a man's life.

She tries to focus on those kisses, the way he looked in the suit and the way it feels to be this close to him.
Chris ran her hand across his shoulder.(Relax Everything about this moment was familiar. (It's not like you're new at this.)
Except the feelings she was having about this.
She rains a few soft kisses from his ear to jawline before kissing him on the mouth.

He pulls away from the kiss and embraces her once again, letting her fel that he's there and solid and she can lean on him...he's Jack after all. Ramon laughs behind his eyes but she can't see that.
After a moment, he lets her go and takes her hand. 'Come lie down with me. I want to look at you, I feel like I haven't seen you in ages.'

Chris walks over to the bed with him, sits down, kicks off her shoes and rests her feet on the bed.
But she remains upright.
no subject
'Chris? What's wrong? You're making me feel like I've done something to upset you.'
no subject
She lies on her side, facing him, propping herself up with an elbow.
"I don't know what's wrong," she confides. "Maybe I'm coming down with something."
